It starts as a handheld selfie in a bright room: glasses, everyday clothes, a slightly awkward smile, and a black knit skull cap in hand. The cap goes on, the beat drops, and a hard cut jumps to the same person in the dark, hood pulled up over the cap, glasses off, staring into the lens like a different man.
The joke is the instant personality switch. Comments pile on with “masc potential” and “sigmafied”, and women run their own masc versions too. The earliest take we know of is from @baldheadbrudda in early October 2026; it blew up on TikTok in mid October with takes like this one by @antoniopieterss.
Not to be confused with the crochet skull cap fashion trend or CapCut’s skull face filters: this one is all about the cap, the cut and the stare.
